At St Andrews we follow the EYFS Statutory Framework. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5 years old. All schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers must follow the EYFS, including childminders, preschools, nurseries and school reception classes.

what to expect and when
All children at St Andrews will be allocated a key person who will be responsible for completing their learning journey and will be a key contact point. Learning Journeys and individual next steps are tailor made to each child's age and stage, wants and interests. Strong partnerships with parents are importance to us and we encourage parents to contribute to their children's learning journeys. We complete learning assessments every term and allow parents to pop in for an informal parents evening to have a chat with their key person and discuss progress and, if necessary, any concerns.
